In addition to our organisations, there are several opportunities for service within the life of the congregation. Not all are listed here. Some you will only hear about through attendance at services, through the Pew Notes. Others will occur to you when you perceive a need or where you have something to share that might enhance the congregation. There are several teams that help the congregation to thrive and make a contribution to the world at large.
As the weeks go by, revisit the pages listed in this section to find out more of what our senior organisations do. Try to imagine how they might help you to integrate into the life of the Congregation. If you find that being part of the fellowship of our Congregation or one of its organisations helps you, why not share with others something of what you have discovered about God and the fellowship of His presence?
Commitment and Caring
Whilst we greatly enjoy and are deeply encouraged by the presence of all who come to worship with us on a Sunday, we also remember those who, due to illness or affliction are unable to join us as before. A team of visitors supports those who are cut off from the life of the congregation through infirmity and they give a personal dimension to expressing the commitment and caring of the Congregation.
Mrs Margaret Hardie is Convener of the Commitment and Caring Committee.
