Spiritual Power
"They all joined together constantly in prayer along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus and with his brothers." (Acts 1:14 NIV)
Our Prayer Meeting runs throughout the year on the first and third Tuesdays of each month. From September to April, our meeting also includes Bible Study.
We believe totally in the need for and the power of prayer, and believe that this meeting is the powerhouse of the church.
At the meeting, we sit together, some of us praying out loud, some silently, some for a few minutes and others simply praying two or three words, and we know that God hears it all. By hearing others, we have all learned how to pray for different needs and situations. Nothing is too small or too big to bring to the Lord.
Requests for prayer from the congregation and others are totally confidential and can be written and passed to us through the Minister, the office or via members of the group. If you prefer total privacy you can simply name the situation and leave it unsigned if you wish. People's needs and concerns are countless. We would encourage you to come along and be a part of this.
If you live in our area, have you ever considered coming along? We know that some people feel a little shy or awkward about prayer meetings and we understand. One of our members acknowledges, "I know when I first came, all these years ago, I was a bit nervous as it was the first one that I had attended." However, together we learn to overcome our apprehensions.
We believe that taking time together to bring before God the things with which He has burdened our hearts is imporant in supporting and encouraging not only one another but also the whole family of Christian believers in every community.
The prayer meeting is followed by Bible Study at 8 p.m.

Recently, the following charges and ministers have been remembered in our prayers. In several cases, the Presbytery Prayer Diary offers pointers for prayer.
